Our story with the Ice Cream Lady begins in Brooklin, a small town on the seashore of Maine. Nancy Veilleux, a former organic farmer, came across the opportunity to buy the business a little over 12 years ago. Starting with nothing but some supplies and determination, she crafted the business into a well-known and well-loved name. The Ice Cream Lady's products can be found at a wide range of storefronts along the Blue Hill peninsula and beyond, and we hope to continue broadening our availability in the coming years. At the Ice Cream Lady, we value the customer experience above all, which is why we seek to constantly innovate and create delicious new flavors. With over 20 varieties to choose from, we're sure to have the perfect flavor for you.
Having lived in Maine for most of her life, Nancy is familiar with the enjoyment that comes from indulging in a sweet treat on a warm summer day. She also understands the importance of quality food, which is why she uses choice ingredients and local products whenever possible. Her daughter, Isabelle, helps her with the ice cream-making process and loves creating (and sampling) new varieties. When she is not making and delivering ice cream, Nancy enjoys riding her horses in Acadia National Park, working in her garden, and hiking local trails like Blue Hill Mountain.
